starlet who rose to glory and then self-destructed in the end. Marilyn would
probably want to be remembered as a women who worked hard to fulfill her
dream. She sought to be more than she was at any given moment: more than
a factory worker, more than a model, more than a sex symbol. For all her
weaknesses, there was a core of strength in her that demanded she seek
and find her true identity as both a person and an actress. And she would
probably want to be remembered for the pleasure and happiness that
she has brought and continues to bring to her fans. Despite her tragic end,
she remains a beloved icon in the history of moviemaking. She was a
complex individual and a true one of a kind.
